2025 is nearly over, and while it was a big disappointment at the box office and also for film fans, it was one of the better years for television fans, as we got many brilliant shows on both the big and small scales. With incredible shows like The Pitt starting the year, there was no way that the rest of the year could go badly, and that’s what happened because we got powerful and brilliant shows like American Primeval and The Bear Season 4. So, we compiled the list of the best returning and new shows of 2025.

Twisted Metal Season 2 (Peacock)

Twisted Metal is a post-apocalyptic action comedy series co-developed by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Michael Jonathan Smith. Based on Sony’s Twisted Metal video game franchise, the second season of the Peacock series continues the story of John Doe and Quiet as they reunite and take part in the titular deadly game hosted by a maniacal Calypso. Based on Jussi Adler-Olsen’s Department Q book series, the Netflix series is set in Scotland, and it follows top-rated detective Carl Morck, who returns to his job after an on-the-job shooting. He is sidelined as the head of a new cold case unit, but he soon takes on a high-profile case and tries to solve it with the help of two misfits. Dept.
