‘Tell Me Lies’ Showrunner Discusses Season 2

Published on

Tell Me Lies is one of the most popular shows right now. Based on Carola Lovering‘s best-selling novel of the same name the Hulu series recently concluded its first season, with a very twisty finale episode. So, every fan of the series might be wondering what about Season 2.

Tell Me Lies is a brilliantly written drama about a toxic couple. The series follows the toxic relationship of Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen (Jackson White), two college sweethearts whose relationship never quite gets on the right track, and after some time they find it hard to keep all the pieces together.

The showrunner of the series Meaghan Oppenheimer talked about Tell Me Lies Season 2 during an interview with Decider. According to Oppenheimer, the series still hasn’t been renewed yet but she does have a lot of ideas on where to take the story of Lucy next. Check out what she said below:

“We don’t know if we have a Season 2 yet. But we’re certainly hoping we have one. Yes, I have a lot planned — both in the college years, and also the adult years. I think getting to see more of Lucy’s life as an adult, and what her reaction is as Stephen kind of re-enters her life after years will be interesting.”

This means we still don’t have a confirmation on the second season but we do know that Tell Me Lies is gaining some traction because of all the social media buzz around it. So, there is a good chance that we might get to see Lucy and Stephen again in a new season, and if we do it seems like Oppenheimer has already figured out what she wants to do with the characters next.
