Warning: Stranger Things Season 5 Vol. 2 Spoilers!
Stranger Things has quickly taken over the world with its long and brilliant Season 4, and now the creators of the series The Duffer Brothers have announced that the production of the fifth and final will begin shortly in 2022.
During an interview with Collider, Ross Duffer talked about their schedule saying that “We’re going to take a little vacation in July. And then we’re going to come back,” Then he added. “I know that the writer’s room is going to start in the first week of August.” As the fans are very impatiently waiting for the next season this news should be a happy surprise for them as the fans had to wait for three years for the fourth season of their favorite series.
Despite the hiatus, the series had to go on, because COVID Stranger Things proved to be one of the most popular Netflix original series as the finale of Season 4 brought in so many viewers that it actually crashed the streaming giant for sometime on July 1. While the first three seasons of Strangers wrapped the main story in a single season with a little to go on to the next season, the finale of Season 4 left the fans with a huge cliffhanger that has fans asking what’s going on to happen next. Matt Duffer explained on the choice of ending Season 4 on a cliffhanger and this is what he said: “Usually at the end of a season, we tie things up with a nice bow before a little tease that says, ‘Hold on, something is unraveling.’ As we move into season 5, we don’t have to do that. There won’t be a reset from where we finish this season.“
Season 4 finale proved to be much darker than previous seasons as it ended with many casualties, the death of a new brilliant character, and a member of the original group in a coma. Additionally, it seems that Vecna’s plan has succeeded in the end leaving the whole world in grave danger.
Stranger Things Season 5 release date has not been announced yet, but you can stream all of the four-season on Netflix right now.
