Midnight Mass

Midnight Mass is a gothic supernatural horror miniseries created by Mike Flanagan. The Netflix series is set in a small island town and it follows the story of a young returning to his hometown after spending four years in prison for a drunk-driving accident that killed someone. He arrives in the town at the same time as a mysterious priest who revives the faith of people in the town but what the town doesn’t know is that he is hiding something sinister. Midnight Mass stars Zach Gilford, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Hamish Linklater, Samantha Sloyan, Alex Essoe, Henry Thomas, Carla Gugino, Annabeth Gish, Kristin Lehman, Michael Trucco, Igby Rigney, Matt Biedel, and Annarah Cymone.

The Haunting of Hill House is a supernatural horror drama series created by Mike Flanagan. Mostly based on an 1898 novella titled The Turn of the Screw by author Henry James, the second entry in Flanagan’s The Haunting anthology series follows the story of a young governess as she arrives in Bly Manor but soon she finds herself losing her mind because she keeps seeing apparitions in the haunted estate. The Midnight Club

The Midnight Club is a horror mystery-thriller series created by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong. Based on a 1997 novel by the same name and other works by Christopher Pike, the Netflix series follows the story of eight terminally ill teenage patients living in Brightcliffe Home hospice. All of the eight patients gather every night to tell each other sinister stories and investigate signs of the supernatural kind and they also have a pact that whoever dies first must contact them from beyond the grave. The Midnight Club didn’t get a season even after rave reviews from both the critics and the audience leaving fans to wonder what to do with the loose plot threads still dangling. Archive 81 is a supernatural horror series created by Rebecca Sonnenshine. Based on a horror podcast of the same name by Daniel Powell and Marc Sollinger, the Netflix series follows the story of Dan, an archivist who a mysterious company hires to restore a damaged videotape but soon he finds himself embroiled in a dangerous mystery involving a missing director and a mysterious cult that the director was documenting. Archive 81 premiered on Netflix with positive reviews from both the critics and the audience but it was canceled just after one season leaving fans with a great cliffhanger that will never get resolved. All of Us Are Dead

All of Us Are Dead is a South Korean zombie horror series created by Chun Sung-il, Lee Jae-kyoo, and Kim Nam-su. Based on a Naver webtoon of the same name by Joo Dong-geun, the Netflix series is set in the city of Hyosan, South Korea where a science teacher does horrible experiments resulting in a local high school being overrun by zombies soon the outbreak spreads beyond the authorities’ control. We follow the story of a group of high school students who must band together to survive this horrific nightmare and get to safety. All of Us Are Dead stars Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, Lomon, Lee Yoo-mi, Yoo In-soo, Kim Byung-chul, Lee Kyu-hyung, and Jeon Bae-soo.

Sweet Home

Sweet Home is a South Korean post-apocalyptic horror action series developed by Studio Dragon. Based on a Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan, the Netflix series of Cha Hyun-su as he moves to a run-down apartment building after losing all of his family. Soon, he finds himself fighting for survival with his neighbors against unidentified monsters destroying the city. Sweet Home stars Song Kang in the lead role with Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Park Gyu-young, Kim Hee-jung, Kim Gook-hee, Lee Joon-woo, Heo Yool, Choi Go, and Woo Jung-kook starring in supporting roles.

Brand New Cherry Flavor

Brand New Cherry Flavor is a horror drama miniseries created by Nick Antosca and Lenore Zion. Based on a 1996 novel of the same name by Todd Grimson, the Netflix series has a very weird or should I say unique plot as it follows the story of a filmmaker heading to LA to make her dream film but when she trusts the wrong person she gets trapped in a nightmare filled with drugs, sex, revenge, zombies, hit men, mysterious tattoo artist who puts curses on people, and supernatural kittens. Brand New Cherry Flavor stars Rosa Salazar in the lead role with Catherine Keener, Eric Lange, Jeff Ward, Manny Jacinto, Hannah Levien, Siena Werber, Daniel Doheny, Darcy Laurie, and Sean Owen Roberts starring in supporting roles.

Dracula

Dracula is a British horror drama miniseries created by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. Based on the classic novel of the same name by Bram Stoker, the Netflix series follows the story of Dracula, from his origins in 1897 in Eastern Europe to his present-day battles with Van Helsing’s descendants. Marianne

Marianne is a French horror drama series created by Samuel Bodin. The Netflix series follows the story of Emma, a popular young novelist who returns to her hometown to find some new inspiration but she is shocked to find out that the characters she writes in horror novels also exist in the real world. Marianne was canceled just after its first season but the series works perfectly as a standalone story just with a cliffhanger.
