Slow Horses has finally wrapped up its brilliant second season on Apple TV+, leaving fans to wonder with questions like what gonna happen next to the Slow Horses and when we will be able to see them next.

The British espionage thriller series is based on Mick Herron‘s Slough House novel series and it tells the story of a group of disgraced MI5 agents who are sent to the titular Slough House to live out the rest of their careers in exile under the watchful eyes of their resident torment in chief Jackson Lamb.

For the fans who are wondering about the future of the series, the good news is that it has been renewed for two more seasons, meaning that we will get Slow Horses Season 3 and Season 4. Slow Horses Season 3 – What Will Happen?

So far the series has been a pretty faithful adaptation of the books, so it is a near certainty that the upcoming third season will follow book three Real Tigers, with the fourth season following Spook Street.

In the third Season, we will Catherine Standish’s past coming back to haunt her. If Slow Horses follows the third book in the novel series, Standish will be kidnapped by an old acquaintance who has a mysterious grudge against the Security Service. The rest of the Slow Horses doing everything they can to not screw things up while trying to find her. We might also get to see Roddy crashing a London bus into a mansion.

Slow Horses Season 3 – Who is in It?

Slow Horses wouldn’t be Slow Horses without Gary Oldman. So, Oldman is obviously coming back as Jackson Lamb. But we might not get to see some of our favorite characters who weren’t as fortunate to survive seasons 1 and 2.

So, we will not be seeing Dustin Demri-Burns‘ Min Harper and Olivia Cooke‘s Sid Baker (but those who have read the books, know that Sid’s story is not finished yet).

Other cast members returning to reprise their roles are Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Huy, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, Kristin Scott-Thomas as Diana Taverner, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright, Aimée-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, Kadiff Kirwan as Marcus Longridge, Freddie Fox as James ‘Spider’ Webb, and Samuel West as Peter Judd.

Some of the new cast members who are joining the series in Season 3 are Sope Dirisu (Gangs of London) and Charlie Rowe (Salvation).
