May is going to be one hell of a month for television fans, as this month will see the much-anticipated finales of shows like the final season of The Boys and Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Aside from the shows that will be ending their run this month, there will also be many shows that will be premiering on various streaming services, from the Yellowstone spin-off series on Paramount+ to the much-anticipated Spider-Noir series on Prime Video. So, we compiled a list of all the great shows that will be making their way to streaming this month.
Lord of the Flies (May 4) – Netflix
Lord of the Flies is a folk horror drama series created by Jack Thorne. Based on William Golding’s 1954 novel of the same name, the BBC One series is set in the early 1950s, and it revolves around a group of young boys who are stranded on a tropical island after a plane crash. The boys try to create order to survive on the island, but the desperation soon gets to them. Lord of the Flies stars Winston Sawyers, Lox Pratt, David McKenna, Ike Talbut, Thomas Connor, Noah Flemyng, and Cassius Flemyng.
The Chestnut Man Season 2 (May 7) – Netflix
The Chestnut Man is a Danish mystery crime thriller series co-created by Dorte Warnøe Hagh, David Sandreuter, and Mikkel Serup. Based on Søren Sveistrup’s 2026 novel Hide and Seek, the upcoming Season 2 of the Netflix series sees detectives Mark Hess and Naia Thulin reunite once again to investigate the disturbing murder of a woman who was stalked before she was killed. The Chestnut Man Season 2 stars Danica Curcic, Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, Iben Dorner, David Dencik, and Lars Ranthe.
Legends (May 7) – Netflix
Legends is an upcoming crime thriller series created by Neil Forsyth. Based on a true story, the Netflix series is set in the 1990s in the United Kingdom, and it revolves around a group of customs officials who go undercover to take down dangerous drug gangs. Legends stars Steve Coogan, Tom Burke, Hayley Squires, Aml Ameen, Jasmine Blackborow, Charlotte Ritchie, Douglas Hodge, Tom Hughes, Johnny Harris, and Gerald Kyd.
The Terror: Devil in Silver (May 7) – AMC+ & Shudder
The Terror: Devil in Silver is a supernatural horror drama anthology series created by Victor LaValle. Based on LaValle’s 2012 book of the same name, the upcoming Season 3 of the AMC series is set in New York City, and it follows Pepper, who’s wrongfully committed to a psychiatric hospital and soon begins to experience strange phenomena. The Terror: Devil in Silver stars Dan Stevens, Marin Ireland, Stephen Root, CCH Pounder, Aasif Mandvi, and John Benjamin Hickey.
Devil May Cry Season 2 (May 12) – Netflix
Devil May Cry is an adult animated urban fantasy action series created by Adi Shankar. Based on the Japanese video game franchise of the same name developed by Capcom, the upcoming Season 2 of the Netflix series will continue the story of Dante as he faces off against his long-lost twin brother, Vergil. Devil May Cry’s voice cast includes Johnny Yong Bosch, Scout Taylor-Compton, Hoon Lee, Chris Coppola, and Kevin Conroy.
Good Omens Season 3 (May 13) – Prime Video
Good Omens is a British fantasy comedy series created by Neil Gaiman. Based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Gaiman, the upcoming third and final episode of the Prime Video series sees Crowley and Aziraphale teaming up once again to save the world. Good Omens stars Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Doon Mackichan, Gloria Obianyo, and Liz Carr.
Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine (May 15) – Netflix
Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine is a heist drama series co-created by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato. The upcoming Season 2 of the Money Heist spin-off series is set in Seville, and it follows Berlin as he gathers a team to steal a Da Vinci painting to get back at the people who are blackmailing him. Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine stars Pedro Alonso, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña, Tristán Ulloa, and Joel Sánchez.
Dutton Ranch (May 15) – Paramount+
Dutton Ranch is an upcoming neo-Western drama series created by Chad Feehan. The Paramount+ series serves as a spin-off and a sequel of the hit series Yellowstone, and it continues the story of Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton as they move to Texas to start a new life, but their fresh start is soon interrupted by a rival ranching family. Dutton Ranch stars Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Finn Little, Jai Courtney, J. R. Villarreal, and Juan Pablo Raba.
Rivals Season 2 (May 15) – Hulu
Rivals is a British period dark comedy-drama series developed by Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Laura Wade. Based on Jilly Cooper’s 1988 novel of the same name, the upcoming second season of the Hulu series continues the intense rivalry between Tony Baddingham and Rupert Campbell-Black as they both try to get their hands on the Central South West franchise. Rivals stars Alex Hassell, David Tennant, Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer, Victoria Smurfit, and Oliver Chris.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed (May 20) – Apple TV
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is an upcoming dark comedy series created by David J. Rosen. The Apple TV series follows Paula, a newly divorced mom going through a messy custody battle, who believes that she witnessed a murder. When nobody believes her, she decides to investigate it herself. Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed stars Tatiana Maslany, Jake Johnson, Dolly de Leon, Charlie Hall, and Kiarra Hamagami.
The Boroughs (May 21) – Netflix
The Boroughs is an upcoming sci-fi mystery thriller drama series co-created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews. The Netflix series is set in an idyllic retirement community, and it revolves around a group of retirees as they encounter a mysterious otherworldly threat. The Boroughs stars Alfred Molina, Geena Davis, Alfre Woodard, Bill Pullman, Clarke Peters, and Denis O’Hare.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 (May 27) – Netflix
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a British mystery thriller series co-created by Holly Jackson and Poppy Cogan. Based on Holly Jackson’s 2019 novel of the same name, the upcoming second season of the Netflix series sees Pip Fitz-Amobi trying to leave her investigating days behind, but things take a turn after a key witness in Andie Bell’s case suddenly goes missing. The Four Seasons Season 2 (May 28) – Netflix
The Four Seasons is a comedy-drama series co-created by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield. Based on Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same name, the upcoming second season of the Netflix series continues the stories of the couples as they go on their planned vacation together, but struggle to come to terms with Nick’s death. Spider-Noir (May 28) – Prime Video
Spider-Noir is an upcoming superhero noir action crime drama series developed by Oren Uziel. Based on the Marvel Comics, the Prime Video series is set in an alternate 1930s New York and follows Ben Reilly, aka Spider-Noir, an aging private investigator, as he struggles to deal with a past tragedy while investigating a deadly case. Spider-Noir stars Nicolas Cage, Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson.
Star City (May 29) – Apple TV
Star City is an upcoming alternate history sci-fi drama series co-created by Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert, and Ronald D. Moore. The Apple TV series serves as a spin-off to For All Mankind, and it is set in the world of For All Mankind during the space race, but instead of the point of view of the Americans in this series, we see the global space race from the perspective of the Soviet Union. Star City stars Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O’Casey, Adam Nagaitis, Alice Englert, and Josef Davies.
