Netflix is ready with an entertainment-packed August this year. This month will see the release of the much-anticipated final season of Outer Banks, as well as the release of Robert De Niro and Adam Scott‘s mystery thriller film The Whisper Man. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (August 3)
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is a supernatural horror film directed by Emma Tammi from a screenplay by Scott Cawthon. Based on Cawthon’s 2014 video game, the 2025 sequel film is set a year after the events of the first film, and it follows Abby Schmidt as she is manipulated by the Marionette to further her revenge plot against the adults. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, McKenna Grace, Wayne Knight, Skeet Ulrich, and Matthew Lillard.
Best Medicine Season 1 (August 4)
Best Medicine is a medical comedy-drama series developed by Liz Tuccillo. The Fox series is set in the small fishing village of Port Wenn, Maine, and it follows the newly arrived Dr. Martin Brest as he struggles to fit in with the quirky locals because of his anti-social personality. Best Medicine stars Josh Charles, Abigail Spencer, Josh Segarra, Cree, and Annie Potts.
My Life with the Walter Boys Season 3 (August 6)
My Life with the Walter Boys is a teen drama series developed by Melanie Halsall. Based on Ali Novak’s 2014 novel of the same name, the upcoming third season of the Netflix series continues the story of Jackie as her relationship with Cole and Alex is tested, but things get even more complicated when a friend from New York arrives in Silver Falls. Alley Cats Season 1 (August 7)
Alley Cats is an upcoming British adult animated comedy series created by Ricky Gervais. The Netflix series follows the daily lives of a group of feral British cats as they keep each other company through life’s various trials and tribulations. The Last House (August 7)
The Last House is an upcoming sci-fi horror thriller film directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Matthew Robinson. The Netflix film revolves around a family as they are shocked to discover that they are sealed in their house with no way out. Our Sticky Love Season 1 (August 7)
Our Sticky Love is an upcoming South Korean romantic comedy series written by Mo Ji-hye. The Netflix series follows Go Eun-sae, a prosecutor looking into a crime syndicate, but when an incident causes her to lose her memories, she finds herself in a small town in the care of a man claiming to be her boyfriend.
