All the lovers and fans of Pirates and the Caribbean star, Johnny Depp was not so pleased with his removal from the franchise. The petition released by the fans to bring back the star has reached its goal and been signed by 500k.
Johnny Depp has played so many iconic characters throughout his career. Fans are very upset with Disney because of his eviction and expulsion. The ultimate character represented by him is Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of Caribbean, for which every enthusiast loves him. His character as Captain Jack Sparrow has always been in the lead and was also nominated for the Oscars.
Disney renovated a theme park attraction into a multi-million dollar franchise. The first film in the five-film franchise was released in 2003 under the name, Pirates of Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl.
According to the reports and sources, Disney doesn’t want to cast Johnny Depp now because of his trial going with his ex-wife Amber Heard. Amber Heard is well known for her leading role in DC’s Aquaman, even though Amber Heard has been fired from the sequel.
The defamation case against The Sun for calling Johnny Depp a “Wife Beater” was lost by Johnny Depp and that’s he was let go from Warner Brother’s The Fantastic Beasts Franchise also. But Johnny Depp lovers have filed a petition against Disney to bring back their genius celebrity they believe that Johnny Depp was never the aggressor in the marriage.
The story goes back 2 years ago when a fan Raza Siddiqui started a Change.org petition to bring Johnny Depp back into the franchise. The petition started gaining popularity and has bridged the 500k goal. It commenced with 516,683 signatures and had reached 1 million signatures now.
With this petition, it is expected for Disney to be under pressure and take back Johnny Depp but there is no confirmation till now. This also goes for Warner Bros. as it seems the company may take back Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts because of the fan following and tension created by the petition. But, we guess fans have to wait for any further announcement.
The casting and release date for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is not clear and it would be less exciting for fans to watch the movie without him.
