This June, we are getting a ton of content on streaming and theaters from the much-anticipated conclusion of Squid Game and the return of The Bear, to the streaming release of the blockbuster film A Minecraft Movie, and Sydney Sweeney‘s new thriller film Echo Valley. This upcoming month will see the release of many great movies, so we thought of compiling a list of all the must-watch films that are coming straight to Theaters near you.

From the World of John Wick: Ballerina is an upcoming action thriller film directed by Len Wiseman from a screenplay by Shay Hatten. Set in the world of John Wick, the upcoming film’s story is set between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and Chapter 4, and it follows Eve Macarro, a ballerina-assassin who breaks all of Ruska Roma’s rules to get revenge for her father’s death. The Life of Chuck (June 6)
The Life of Chuck is an upcoming sci-fi drama film written and directed by Mike Flanagan. Based on the 2020 novella of the same name by Stephen King, the upcoming film follows the extraordinary story of an ordinary man, Charles Krantz, as he experiences love, life, loss, and humanity. The Life of Chuck stars Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Jacob Tremblay, and Mark Hamill.
Materialists (June 13)
Materialists is an upcoming romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Celine Song. The upcoming film is set in New York City, and it follows Lucy, an elite matchmaker who finds herself caught between a new love and her feelings for her ex-boyfriend. Materialists stars Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, Chris Evans, Zoë Winters, Marin Ireland, Dasha Nekrasova, and Louisa Jacobson.
How to Train Your Dragon (June 13)
How to Train Your Dragon is an upcoming fantasy adventure film written and directed by Dean DeBlois. Based on the animated film of the same name, the upcoming live-action remake film is set on the isle of Burk where Vikings and dragons have been enemies for generations, and it follows Hiccup, an inventive Viking boy who befriends an injured dragon. How to Train Your Dragon stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz, and Murray McArthur.
28 Years Later (June 20)
28 Years Later is an upcoming post-apocalyptic horror film directed by Danny Boyle from a screenplay by Alex Garland. The upcoming threequel film is set twenty-eight years after the Rage virus destroyed the world, and it revolves around a father and son duo who leave the safety of their island behind to set out on a dangerous adventure in the mainland. 28 Years Later stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, and Erin Kellyman.
Elio (June 20)
Elio is an upcoming animated sci-fi adventure film co-directed by Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi, and Adrian Molina from a screenplay co-written by Molina, Julia Cho, Mark Hammer, and Mike Jones. The upcoming film Elio, a lonely young boy with an active imagination who is taken by aliens and asked to represent the people of Earth. Elio’s voice cast includes Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldana, Remy Edgerly, Brad Garrett, Jameela Jamil, Shirley Henderson, and Matthias Schweighofer.
F1 (June 27)
F1 is an upcoming sports drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger. The upcoming film follows Sonny Hayes, a Formula One driver who was forced to retire in the 1990s after a horrific crash. Soon, Sonny’s friend Ruben, who owns a Formula One team, asks him to come out of retirement to train a young rookie for the Apex Grand Prix team. F1 stars Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem.
M3GAN 2.0 (June 27)
M3GAN 2.0 is an upcoming sci-fi horror film written and directed by Gerard Johnstone. The upcoming sequel film is set two years after the events of the first film, and it follows Gemma, who has now become an advocate for regulating artificial intelligence. She has also kept M3GAN active by putting her in a small, harmless robotic doll. When a dangerous military robot called AMELIA becomes self-aware and begins killing people, Gemma has no choice but to rebuild M3GAN’s body to defeat AMELIA. M3GAN 2.0 stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Jen Van Epps, Amie Donald, Jenna Davis, Ivanna Sakhno, Aristotle Sthari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement.
