If you loved the deadpan comedy, kooky characters, and supernatural mysteries in Netflix’s Wednesday and are waiting for the much-anticipated Season 2 of the series. Then we have added good news for you as the streaming giant has decided to renew Wednesday in advance for Season 3. The news of the renewal comes two weeks before the Season 2 premiere.
Based on Charles Addams‘ characters of the same name, the coming-of-age gothic supernatural dark comedy-drama series was adapted for television by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
Wednesday follows the titular Addams family character as she joins the school of supernatural outcasts and monsters, Nevermore Academy, which also happens to be her mother’s alma mater. After getting there Wednesday soon finds herself embroiled in a supernatural murder mystery.
Jenna Ortega stars in the leading role of Wednesday with Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Percy Hynes White, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, Christina Ricci, and Moosa Mostafa starring in supporting roles. Fred Armisen, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Luis Guzmán also appear in guest roles as Uncle Fester and Wednesday’s parents.
Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 is all set to premiere on Netflix on August 6, 2025, with Part 2 coming out on September 3.
