Swapped (May 1) – Netflix
Swapped is an animated fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Nathan Greno from a screenplay co-written by John Whittington, Christian Magalhaes, and Robert Snow. The 2026 film follows a tiny woodland creature and a majestic bird, who are natural enemies, but when they swap bodies, they must work together to survive the dangers of the wild. The voice cast of Swapped includes Michael B. Jordan, Juno Temple, Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer, and Justina Machado.
Wuthering Heights (May 1) – HBO Max
Wuthering Heights is a period romantic drama film written and directed by Emerald Fennell. Based on Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel of the same name, the 2026 film is set in 19th-century England, and it follows the intense love story of Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, who are separated because of circumstances, and when Heathcliff returns, Catherine is married to someone else. Wuthering Heights stars Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell.
Send Help (May 7) – Disney+
Send Help is a survival horror thriller film directed by Sam Raimi from a screenplay co-written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The 2026 film follows Linda, a meek woman and survival enthusiast who’s constantly bullied by her new young CEO, Bradley. When Linda and Bradley get stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash, Linda is in her element as a survivalist while Bradley struggles in the harsh conditions. Send Help stars Rachel McAdams, Dylan O’Brien, Edyll Ismail, and Dennis Haysbert.
Greenland 2: Migration (May 8) – HBO Max
Greenland 2: Migration is a post-apocalyptic film directed by Ric Roman Waugh from a screenplay co-written by Mitchell LaFortune and Chris Sparling. The 2026 sequel film is set five years after the events of the first film, and it follows the Garrity family as they leave the safety of the Greenland bunker to search for a new home. Remarkably Bright Creatures (May 8) – Netflix
Remarkably Bright Creatures is an upcoming mystery comedy-drama film directed by Olivia Newman, who also co-wrote the screenplay with John Whittington. Based on Shelby Van Pelt’s 2022 novel of the same name, the Netflix film Tova, an elderly woman working at an aquarium trains Cameron, a troubled young man, to be her replacement, but when she learns more about him, she tries to help him look for his father. Remarkably Bright Creatures stars Sally Field, Lewis Pullman, Joan Chen, Kathy Baker, Beth Grant, Sofia Black-D’Elia, Colm Meaney, and Alfred Molina.
We Bury the Dead (May 8) – Hulu
We Bury the Dead is a zombie horror drama film written and directed by Zak Hilditch. The 2026 film is set in Tasmania, and it follows Ava Newman during a zombie outbreak as she desperately searches for her missing husband while fighting against the undead. Based on Tom Clancy’s characters, the Prime Video film serves as a sequel to the Jack Ryan series, and it follows the titular character as he is brought back into the field by James Greer to foil the plans of a group of rogue operatives. Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is the compilation of Kill Bill: Vol I & II. Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, the new version of the martial arts revenge action film follows a lethal assassin named the Bride, who wakes up from a coma and goes after the people responsible for her condition and the death of her unborn child.
