Elvis (November 1)
Elvis is an epic biographical drama film directed by Baz Luhrmann, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner. The 2022 film chronicles the rise of singer Elvis Presley as he goes from being a nobody to an international sensation. Elvis stars Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, Helen Thomson, and Richard Roxburgh.
Tenet (November 1)
Tenet is a sci-fi action thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan. The 2020 film follows a CIA operative known only as the Protagonist, who gets recruited into a secret organization that is fighting a war against people from the future who are sending objects back in time to attack the present. Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.
The Hangover (November 1)
The Hangover is a comedy film directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay co-written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The 2009 film follows three friends on a bachelor party in Las Vegas when they mistakenly ingest a drug and wake up the next day with no memories of the previous night, and on top of all that, the groom is missing. To find him, they decide to retrace their steps. The Hangover stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha, and Jeffrey Tambor.
Wonka (November 1)
Wonka is a musical fantasy film directed by Paul King, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Farnaby. Based on Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the 2023 film follows a young Willy Wonka as he tries to achieve his dream of becoming a famous chocolatier despite having no money. Wonka stars Timothée Chalamet, Calah Lane, Keegan-Michael Key, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, Mathew Baynton, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carter, Olivia Colman, and Hugh Grant.
Frankenstein (November 7)
Frankenstein is an epic gothic sci-fi film written and directed by Guillermo del Toro. Based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel of the same name, the Netflix film follows Victor Frankenstein, a damaged and egotistical scientist who wants to rid the world of death and, in a daring experiment, brings a monster to life, but soon comes to regret his creation. Frankenstein stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz.
A Merry Little Ex-Mas (November 12)
A Merry Little Ex-Mas is an upcoming Christmas romantic comedy film directed by Steve Carr from a screenplay by Holly Hester. The Netflix film follows Kate and Everett, a recently divorced couple who decide to host a holiday family dinner, but things get complicated when Everett’s new girlfriend arrives. Based on DC Comics characters of the same name, the 2023 film follows Reyes, a college graduate struggling to find a job, but when he acquires superpowers from an ancient alien relic, he gets entangled in a dangerous situation with the head of a global corporation. Champagne Problems (November 19)
Champagne Problems is an upcoming romantic comedy film written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson. The Netflix film follows an ambitious American businesswoman who travels to Paris during Christmas to acquire a luxury champagne brand but soon finds herself falling for a charming French man. Train Dreams (November 21)
Train Dreams is an upcoming drama film directed by Clint Bentley, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Greg Kwedar. Based on Denis Johnson’s 2011 novella of the same name, the Netflix film follows Robert Grainier, a logger who struggles to find his place in the ever-changing world while developing a railroad across the United States, which causes him to stay away from his wife and daughter. Jingle Bell Heist (November 26)
Jingle Bell Heist is an upcoming Christmas romantic comedy film directed by Michael Fimognari from a screenplay by Abby McDonald. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (November 27)
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a superhero action film directed by James Wan from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson McGoldrick.
