Halo Seasons 1-2 (October 1)
Halo is a sci-fi military action series co-developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane. Based on the video game franchise of the same name developed by Bungie & 343 Industries, the Paramount+ series is set in a futuristic world and follows a group of Spartans led by Master Chief John-117 to defeat aliens trying to destroy humanity. Halo stars Pablo Schreiber, Shaban Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Jen Taylor, and Bokeem Woodbine.
Fifty Shades Film Trilogy (October 1)
Fifty Shades is a romance drama film trilogy directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and James Foley. Based on E.L. James’ novel trilogy of the same name, the film follows Anastasia “Ana” Steele, a young woman who falls for the wealthy businessman Christian Grey, who is hiding secrets about his life. Fifty Shades stars Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, Eloise Mumford, Victor Rasuk, Luke Grimes, Marcia Gay Harden, and Rita Ora.
Mr. & Mrs Smith (October 1)
Mr. & Mrs Smith is a romantic action comedy film directed by Doug Liman from a screenplay by Simon Kinberg. The 2005 film follows a bored couple on the verge of divorce, but things soon change when they discover each other’s real profession of being assassins. Mr. & Mrs Smith stars Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Adam Brody, and Kerry Washington.
Monster: The Ed Gein Story Season 3 (October 3)
Monster: The Ed Gein Story is a biographical crime thriller drama anthology series co-developed by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The upcoming Season 3 of the Netflix series is set in the 1950s in rural Wisconsin, and it chronicles the life of the suspected serial killer Ed Gein. Monster: The Ed Gein Story stars Charlie Hunnam, Laurie Metcalf, Suzanna Son, Tom Hollander, Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams, Lesley Manville, Joey Pollari, and Charlie Hall.
Steve (October 3)
Steve is an upcoming psychological drama film directed by Tim Mielants from a screenplay by Max Porter. Based on Porter’s 2023 novella Shy, the Netflix film follows headteacher Steve, who struggles to take care of his troubled students while also dealing with his own deteriorating mental health. Steve stars Cillian Murphy, Tracey Ullman, Jay Lycurgo, Simbi Ajikawo, and Emily Watson.
Nurse Jackie Seasons 1-7 (October 7)
Nurse Jackie is a medical dark comedy-drama series co-created by Liz Brixius, Evan Dunsky, and Linda Wallem. The Showtime series is set in New York City, and it follows nurse Jackie Peyton, who struggles with her drug addiction while also trying to give her patients the best care possible. Nurse Jackie stars Edie Falco, Eve Best, Merritt Wever, Haaz Sleiman, Paul Schulze, Peter Facinelli, and Dominic Fumusa.
Boots Season 1 (October 9)
Boots is an upcoming war comedy-drama series created by Andy Parker. The Netflix series is set in the 1990s, and it follows Cameron, a bullied gay teenager who decides to join the Marine Corps with his best friend, but the harsh training and the dangerous environment take their toll on their psyche. The Maze Runner Film Trilogy (October 9)
The Maze Runner is a dystopian young adult sci-fi action thriller film trilogy directed by Wes Ball. Based on the novel trilogy of the same name by James Dashner, the film trilogy is set in a post-apocalyptic world, and it revolves around a group of teenagers who find themselves in the middle of a giant maze with no memories of their past. When they try to get out of the maze, they discover that deadly creatures roam behind the walls. The Maze Runner stars Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Will Poulter, and Patricia Clarkson.
The Woman in Cabin 10 (October 10)
The Woman in Cabin 10 is an upcoming psychological thriller film directed by Simon Stone, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Joel Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse. Based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Ruth Ware, the Netflix film follows Laura “Lo” Blacklock, a journalist covering the experience of a luxury cruise ship. She soon witnesses someone being thrown overboard, but things take a turn when she discovers that all of the guests and the crew are still on board. The Woman in Cabin 10 stars Keira Knightley, Guy Pearce, Art Malik, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, and Hannah Waddingham.
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch Season 1 (October 14)
Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is an upcoming adult animated espionage action thriller series developed by Derek Kolstad. Based on the video game series Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, developed by Ubisoft, the Netflix series follows Sam Fisher, a retired legendary spy who’s pulled back into the world of espionage to help a rookie. Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’s voice cast includes Liev Schreiber, Janet Varney, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Joel Oulette.
The Diplomat Season 3 (October 16)
The Diplomat is a political thriller, dark comedy-drama series created by Debora Cahn. The upcoming Season 3 of the Netflix series will continue the story of U.S. Diplomat to the United Kingdom, Katherine “Kate” Wyler, after the shocking event of the Season 2 finale, which saw the President of the United States suddenly dying. The Diplomat stars Keri Russell, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, Ali Ahn, Rory Kinnear, Ato Essandoh, Allison Janney, and Bradley Whitford.
The Twits (October 17)
The Twits is an upcoming animated musical comedy film directed by Phil Johnston, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Meg Favreau. Based on Roald Dahl’s 1980 children’s novel of the same name, the Netflix film follows two orphans who decide to team up with a family of magical animals to save their city from the nastiest couple in the world, Mr and Mrs Twit. The Twits’ voice cast includes Margo Martindale, Johnny Vegas, Natalie Portman, Emilia Clarke, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Ryan Lopez, Jason Mantzoukas, Timothy Simons, Alan Tudyk, and Nicole Byer.
Nobody Wants This Season 2 (October 23)
Nobody Wants This is a romantic comedy series created by Erin Foster. A House of Dynamite is an upcoming political thriller film directed by Kathryn Bigelow from a screenplay by Noah Oppenheim. Ballad of a Small Player (October 29)
Ballad of a Small Player is an upcoming British psychological thriller film directed by Edward Berger from a screenplay by Rowan Joffe. Based on the 2014 novel The Ballad of a Small Player by Lawrence Osborne, the 2025 film follows Lord Doyle, a professional gambler whose past and debt catch up to him in Macau, where he is laying low. Amsterdam Empire Season 1 (October 30)
Amsterdam Empire is an upcoming Dutch crime drama series co-created by Nico Moolenaar and Bart Uytdenhouwen. The Netflix series follows Betty, a married woman who becomes the greatest enemy of her wealthy husband after it is revealed that he has been having an affair.
