After a wait of nearly one and a half years, the much-anticipated new season of Fallout is finally here, and if all the critics are to be believed, it is amazing. Co-created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the Prime Video series is based on the role-playing video game franchise of the same name developed by Bethesda Softworks.
Season 2 of Fallout picks up right where the first season ended, and it follows Lucy and The Ghoul as they make their way through the wasteland of the Mojave to the city of New Vegas (previously known as Las Vegas), to find and capture Lucy’s dead who escaped in the chaos of Season 1’s finale.

Fallout Season 2 consists of eight episodes in total, just like its previous season. The second season of the post-apocalyptic action drama series premiered early on Prime Video with its first episode on December 16, 2025, with the rest coming out weekly every Wednesday. The returning cast for Season 2 of Fallout includes Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, Aaron Moten as Maximus, Walton Goggins as The Ghoul/Cooper Howard, Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, Moisés Arias as Norm MacLean, Xelia Mendes-Jones as Dane, Frances Turner as Bard Howard, Leslie Uggams as Betty Pearson, and Sarita Choudhury as Lee Moldaver.
The new actors joining the cast in the new season are Justin Theroux as Mr. House, Macaulay Culkin as a member of Caesar’s Legion, Kumail Nanjiani as a member of the Brotherhood of Steel, and Rachel Marsh as Claudia.
Fallout Season 2 – Production Details (Where & When Was It Filmed?)
The second season of Fallout began filming in early December 2024 in Los Angeles, but it was paused in January 2025 because of the Los Angeles fires. Some parts of Season 2 were also shot in Toronto, and the filming wrapped on May 7, 2025.
