Dune 3 has to be one of the most anticipated upcoming sci-fi films and we just got a big update from Deadline, which confirmed that Jason Momoa‘s son Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Silo‘s Ida Brooke have joined the film as the twin children of Paul Atreides.
Wolf Momoa and Brooke have been cast in the roles of Leto II and Ghanima, the twin children of Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides and Zendaya‘s Chani. Dune 3 will be the big-screen debut of Wolf Momoa while Brooke has recently starred in Apple TV+ hit sci-fi series Silo.
Dune 3 is expected to adapt Frank Herbert‘s Dune Messiah, which is set 12 years after the events of Dune, and it will see Paul Atreides struggling with the consequences of his Fremen-led jihad, which landed him in the position of the Emperor.
While no actors have been confirmed to return to reprise their respective roles, Chalamet and Zendaya are expected, and Robert Pattinson has entered into talks to play the antagonist.
Dune, which was once thought of as an unadaptable story, has now become a multi-format sci-fi universe from its two films, which have earned a combined $1.2 billion at the global box office, and most recently, we saw the prequel HBO series Dune: Prophecy, which is set 10,000 years before the events of Dune.
No release date or title has been announced for the upcoming threequel film. Stay tuned for more updates.
