French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos has just been added to the cast of director Megan Park‘s follow-up to the 2024 Sundance hit comedy-drama film My Old Ass. According to Deadline, Exarchopoulos has been cast in a mystery role, as there is not much information known about the film.
Park is set to write and direct the upcoming untitled mystery film, which is being described as a quirky family comedy, and the expectation for this one is a bit high as Park has been on a streak lately after the success of My Old Ass; the Canadian actress and director also created the hit Prime Video series Sterling Point.
Exarchopoulos is set to co-lead the upcoming film alongside Zoë Kravitz, and this film will be Exarchopoulos’ first American studio lead role after breaking out as the co-lead opposite Léa Seydoux in the 2013 Palme d’Or winner Blue Is The Warmest Color by Abdellatif Kechiche.
While Exarchopoulos doesn’t have many Hollywood titles under her belt except for her voice role in Inside Out 2, she has become fairly popular in France after Kechiche’s film. Her upcoming French projects are Jeanne Herry‘s Garance and Christopher Honoré‘s Orange-Flavoured Wedding, which are set to come out in theaters this year.
As for Kravitz, her upcoming projects include a leading role in David Leitch‘s heist movie, How to Rob a Bank. Kravitz is also set to direct her second feature film, How to Save a Marriage, with Robert Pattinson attached to produce.
Apple won the bidding war for the upcoming film back in April and is set to back the film financially alongside FilmNation and Margot Robbie‘s LuckyChap Entertainment.
