Past Lives is a romantic drama movie written and directed by Celine Song. The A24 film follows the story of two childhood friends, who get separated as one of them moves out of South Korea, but decades later they meet again for a fateful week in which they ruminate about love and the choices they made in their lives.
The romantic drama stars Teo Yoo and Greta Lee in the lead roles of Hae Sung and Nora. In the supporting roles, we see John Magaro as Arthur, Choi Won-young as Nora’s Dad, Moon Seung-ah as Young Nora, Leem Seung-min as Young Hae Sung, Ji Hye Yoon as Nora’s Mom, Ahn Min-Young as Hae Sung’s Mom, and Seo Yeon-Woo as Young Si Young.
Past Lives – When Did it Come Out?
Past Lives had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 21, 2023. The romantic drama was also screened at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival on February 19 and then it was the opening film for the 2023 Seattle International Film Festival. Past Lives had it limited theatrical release in the United States on June 2 before expanding to more theaters on June 9, and then it was released throughout the U.S. on June 23.
Past Lives – VOD & Streaming?
Nearly eight weeks after releasing nationwide the romantic drama became available on multiple video-on-demand platforms such as Prime Video, Google Play Movies & TV, YouTube Movies, Vudu, Viki, and Apple TV. While no streaming release date for Past Lives has been announced yet, it will most likely end up at Paramount+, as that’s where recent A24 movies end up.
