While there was no doubt about Wednesday‘s future it’s still good to hear that Netflix has finally renewed the wildly popular series Wednesday. The Addams Family spin-off series follows the brilliant titular daughter as she attends the Nevermore Academy.

Starring Jenna Ortega as the titular character, the MGM Television series crossed the 1B hours viewed mark in less than a month. With that Wednesday became the third series to ever do that in Netflix’s incredible Originals history.

Tim Burton‘s coming-of-age drama series is described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

Wednesday stars Ortega as Wednesday, Christina Ricci as Marilyn Thornhill, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, Emma Meyers as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, and finally Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.
