Apple TV+ hit series The Morning Show has just added Natalie Morales to its already star-studded cast, according to Variety. Morales will be playing the role of Kate Danton, the best friend of Stella (Greta Lee) from Stanford. Both of the characters were a part of a start-up incubator program, which was started by Paul Marks, who will be played by John Hamm in Season 3.
The Morning Show stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in the lead roles, and it revolves around the battle between a veteran news anchor and a new talented face trying to gain supremacy over one another in the morning television industry in America. The series also focuses on issues like workplace sexual harassment.
Morales recently starred in Plan B, and she is best known for her acting roles in shows like Dead to Me and Santa Clarita Diet. She also co-wrote, directed, and starred in the brilliant 2021 film Language Lessons alongside Mark Duplass, who is also a cast member of The Morning Show.
The Morning Show Season 3 also stars Billy Crudup, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Bel Powley, Desean Terry, Janina Gavankar, Tom Irwin, Marcia Gay Harden, Ruairi O’Connor, Hasan Minhaj, Tara Karsian, Valeria Golino, and Holland Taylor. The newcomers to the series in Season 3 will be Morales, Hamm, Nicole Beharie, Tig Notaro, and Stephen Fry.
The Morning Show was renewed for its third season back in January. The series will also get a new showrunner in Season 3, Charlotte Stoudt, who will be replacing Kerry Ehrin. Ehrin will be continuing to serve as a consultant on the series.
