The Prime Video offbeat superhero is returning for its much-anticipated fourth season and the fans are excited and happy with every little promotional thing that is coming out for the upcoming season including the recently released full trailer which just showed why people love this series so much.

Based on a comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson and developed for Prime Video by Eric Kripke, the superhero action black comedy series is set in a world where superheroes exist. They are not the saviors of the world but because of an amazing PR team provided by the evil conglomerate Vought, they have a very positive public image. We follow the story of a group of people personally affected by tragedies created by the supes as they take down the superheroes while risking their necks which could be broken at any moment.

The Boys Season 4 will pick up the story shortly after where the third season ended with Butcher only having months to live and Victoria Neuman being close to the White House. Season 4 will see Butcher having lost his position as the leader of The Boys and trying to get them back together for one last time to finally save the extremely divided and volatile world before he dies.

It seems that the story of The Boys’ spin-off Gen V will play a huge role in Season 4 as we saw in the trailer, The Boys have got their hands on the supe-killing virus that was introduced in the spin-off series and we also see Cate Dunlap and Sam standing in the Vought tower beside A-Train.

Check out the official synopsis for The Boys Season 4 by Amazon Studios below:

Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
