Apple TV+’s brilliant thriller series Severance has recently started production in its second season. As the filming begins for Season 2, the series adds 8 more actors to its already star-studded cast.
The Apple TV+ series stars Adam Scott as Mark, Britt Lower as Helly, John Turturro as Irving, Zach Cherry as Dylan, and Patricia Arquette as Peggy. The new actors who will be joining the Severance ensemble cast are Bob Balaban (The French Dispatch), Robby Benson (Beauty and the Beast), Merritt Wever (Run), Gwendoline Christie (The Sandman), John Noble (Fringe), Alia Shawkat (Search Party), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Tourist), and Stefano Carannante.
Ben Stiller, director and executive producer of Severance, shared his excitement about starting production of Severance Season 2. Stiller said that “we are thrilled and delighted to be back on set for the exciting second chapter of Severance. Though we don’t know how long we’ve been gone or who we are outside, we are told people enjoy the show and we couldn’t be happier. Praise Kier!”
Series creator Dan Erickson also shared his excitement. Read the statement below:
“We tried to make something that gave us some satisfaction, some modicum of joy, but also opens the door for a lot of different new avenues that we’re gonna go. It’s fun to think about how the events of this episode change the world and change the game for all the characters and how they’re now going to have to contend with that.”
While there is no confirmed release date for Severance Season 2, it will likely come out either at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
