We have some good news for Outlander fans as the immensely popular prequel series titled Outlander: Blood of My Blood recently wrapped filming for its much-anticipated second season.
After being renewed for a second season by Starz before the first season even aired, Season 2 of the historical romantic drama was filmed over the summer, and in a recent Instagram post, the network announced that Season 2 of the prequel series is in the can.
In the BTS images from Starz’s Instagram post, we can see the leading cast, including Jeremy Irvine as Henry, Hermione Corfield as Julia, Jamie Roy as Brian, and Harriet Slater as Ellen. The other actors returning to reprise their roles are Maria Doyle Kennedy as Jocasta, Conor MacNeill as Ned, John Lumsden as Malcolm, Graham McTavish as Dougal, and Bobby Rainsbury as Maura.
Developed by Matthew B. Roberts, Outlander: Blood of My Blood follows the story of the parents of Claire and Jamie as they cross paths with each other despite existing in different time periods through time travel.
If you are wondering about the release date of the series, then there is still no official announcement on the topic, but now that the filming is wrapped, post-production takes as long as the filming.
