The comedy series Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short has earned the title of the most-watched Hulu Original comedy on its premiere day as well as being the most-watched comedy series on premiere day in the history of the streaming service.
The series has recieved great reviews, with its spin on the phenomenon, that is the true-crime podcasts. The guest stars appearing in the series include icons like Nathan Lane, Tina Fey, and the musical legend Sting.
The creative team behind the series has expressed their excitement about the renewal of the series and they have expressed that they are excited to continue the series and the podcast in the series. The series is co-created and executive produced by John Hoffman and this is what he said on the renewal of the series:
“Everyone in our amazing ‘Building’ worked with such love and expertise through extraordinary times — and with incredible support from Disney, Hulu and 20th TV — to create a first season that might live up to our legendary cast, our beloved New York City, and to make a show about connection. To feel we’ve connected with our audience and hit the mark enough already to have the chance to continue — and to carry on our show’s wild ride of mystery-comedy-empathy — is too exciting for words. So I’ll shut up now — and just say a huge thanks to all and I can’t wait for more!”
The series was created by Hoffman and Martin, with all three serving as executive producers alongside Dan Fogelman. The series is exclusively available at Hulu with new episodes coming out every week on Tuesday through October 19.
