Adult Best Friends (May 2)
Adult Best Friends is a comedy-drama film directed by Delaney Buffet, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Katie Corwin. The 2024 film follows two childhood best friends, Katie and Delaney, who go on a nostalgic trip to their hometown, where Katie is planning to tell Delaney that she is getting married, but a few unexpected events derail Katie’s plans. Adult Best Friends stars Delaney Buffett, Hannah Campbell, Carmen Christopher, Katie Corwin, Cazzie David, Mason Gooding, Jolie Handler, Connor Hines, and Alexander Hodge.
Duster Season 1 (May 15)
Duster is an upcoming crime thriller drama series created by J.J. Abrams and LaToya Morgan. The Max series is set in 1972 in the Southwest, and it follows Nina, the First Black FBI woman agent, who works with a talented getaway driver, Jim, to catch a crime syndicate. Duster stars Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, Sydney Elisabeth, Greg Grunberg, Camille Guaty, and Benjamin Charles Watson.
The Brutalist (May 16)
The Brutalist is an epic period drama film directed by Brady Corbet, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mona Fastvold. The 2024 film is set after World War II, and it follows László Tóth, a Hungarian-Jewish Holocaust survivor who is a visionary architect. He soon tries to rebuild his life in America after a prominent industrialist hires him. The Brutalist stars Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, and Alessandro Nivola.
The Librarians: The Next Chapter Season 1 (May 25)
The Librarians: The Next Chapter is an upcoming fantasy adventure comedy-drama film created by Dean Devlin. The TNT series is a direct spin-off of the Librarian film franchise and the TV series. It follows Vikram Chamberlain, a Librarian from 1847, who time-travels to the present and gets stuck here. He soon gathers a team of six highly intelligent individuals to rectify a mistake he made. The Librarians: The Next Chapter stars Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris, Bluey Robinson, and Caroline Loncq.
Rick & Morty Season 8 (May 25)
Rick & Morty is an adult animated sci-fi dark comedy adventure series created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. The upcoming Season 8 of the Adult Swim series will continue the absurdly adventurous and dark comedic story of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his moronic grandson Morty. And Just Like That… is a romantic comedy-drama series created by Darren Star. The Max series is a sequel to the extremely popular HBO series Sex and the City. The upcoming Season 3 of And Just Like That… continues the story of Carrie, Miranda, Seema, and LTW as they continue to struggle with life, love, sex, and friendship in New York City.
