The upcoming month will see the premiere of Mark Ruffalo’s crime thriller miniseries, Task, as well as the streaming release of the brilliant war film titled Warfare. Emmanuelle (September 1)

Emmanuelle is a French erotic drama film directed by Audrey Diwan, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Rebecca Zlotowski. Based on the 1967 novel of the same name by Emmanuelle Arsan, the 2024 film follows Emmanuelle, a quality controller working for a luxury hotel brand, as she arrives in Hong Kong to inspect a hotel where she experiences several sensual and life-changing events. Emmanuelle stars Noémie Merlant, Will Sharpe, Jamie Campbell Bower, Chacha Huang, Anthony Huang, and Naomi Watts.
Friendship (September 5)

Friendship is a dark comedy film written and directed by Andrew DeYoung. The 2024 film follows Craig, a socially awkward man trying to become friends with his neighbor, Austin, which becomes a source of obsession for him. Friendship stars Paul Rudd, Tim Robinson, Kate Mara, Jack Dylan Grazer, Josh Segarra, and Billy Bryk.
Task Season 1 (September 7)

Task is an upcoming crime drama miniseries created by Brad Ingelsby. The HBO series is set in Philadelphia, and it follows FBI Agent Tom as he is assigned to lead a task force to stop a series of violent robberies being carried out by a seemingly ordinary family man. Task stars Mark Ruffalo, Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raul Castillo, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, and Fabien Frankel.
Warfare (September 12)

Warfare is a war thriller drama film co-written and co-directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland. Based on Mendoza’s experiences as a U.S. Navy SEAL during the Iraq War, the 2025 film revolves around a platoon of Navy SEALs as they are pinned down by armed and dangerous hostiles. Warfare stars D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Kit Connor, Finn Bennett, Joseph Quinn, and Charles Melton.
Good Cop/Bad Cop Season 1 (September 30)

Good Cop/Bad Cop is a police procedural comedy-drama series created by John Quaintance. The CW series is set in the small town of Eden Lake, and it follows the estranged Hickman siblings as they are brought together by their Chief of Police father to become a crime-solving duo. Good Cop/Bad Cop stars Leighton Meester, Luke Cook, Devon Terrell, and Clancy Brown.
