Nathan Blaze Makes Directorial Debut with Post-Apocalyptic Thriller Feature Film ‘Run’ (Exclusive)

Filmmaker Nathan Blaze is making his directorial debut with the original feature film Run, taking on the roles of writer, director, and executive producer.

A production of The Blaze Brothers Production Company LLC, Run is a dystopian thriller revealing how doom has encompassed the post-apocalyptic world. A woman and her best friend, Squeaks the mouse, are hunted by a cannibalistic gang. All she has for her and Squeaks to escape is her pace. Currently in post-production, the film’s producers include Jon Blaze, Brenda Blaze, and Kyle Blaze.

“Writing was probably the most challenging part of producing RUN for me. Creating something completely from scratch is not easy unless you’re born with that gift. I wrote the film while working on sets, in between setups, and did most of pre-production while I was in production on other films,” said Nathan Blaze. “I have worked on sets for years, so production was easier. I did previsualization for the majority of the film, so we already knew exactly what we were doing cause the movie was already shot. Writing, directing, and producing a quality film successfully is definitely not an easy feat. I applaud anyone who’s done it.”

Born in Thousand Oaks, California, and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Blaze is marking a bold new chapter in his creative journey. He attended school in Texas at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center for audio & video and graduated in 2013. He is mostly known for working in the sound and camera department, which he showcases in Run as he steps into a directorial position. His body of work includes credits on Nefarious starring Jordan Belfi and Sean Patrick Flanery, 1780 starring Kevin Spacey and DJ Qualls, Warning Shot, and 1883: The Road West. Nathan has a passion for telling stories through film, bringing engaging and thought-provoking stories to the screen.

Further announcements, including the cast, poster, trailer, and first look photos, will be released soon.
