We are waiting with bated breath for the release of the live-action Spider-Noir series next month, and if that wasn’t enough, the co-showrunner of the upcoming superhero series just seemingly confirmed that we will be getting more projects focusing on other Spider-Man variants from the Spider-Verse movies.
The superhero noir adventure series is set in the 1930s in New York, and it follows Ben Reilly, a down-and-out private investigator who’s also New York’s only superhero, as he is forced to face his dark past after a tragic event.
During an SFX Magazine interview via Games Radar, the co-showrunner of the Spider-Noir series, Oren Uziel, confirmed that Ben Reilly is not the only Spider-Man variant project we will be getting, as there are more unannounced projects similar to his.

Uziel said, “I’m focused on Spider-Noir, but I know there are others in the works. I’ve talked a bit to the people working on them, and I think they are very exciting. They’re following a little bit of that same formula [as Spider-Noir], that same idea of taking a genre and elevating it by putting a Spider-variant into it. It opens up a whole new world, and it’s just an extremely exciting opportunity.”
While talking about Spider-Noir’s connection with the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Uziel said that while it is the “same character” in a “different universe,” the Prime Video series is “not a continuation of Into the Spider-Verse”.
While Uziel didn’t mention any specific Spider-Man variant project that is currently under development, a Spider-Punk movie was announced last year, with Daniel Kaluuya expected to return to voice the character.
Spider-Noir series is all set to premiere on Prime Video on May 27, 2026.
