A24 has landed ‘Together‘ director Michael Shanks‘ next film in a competition with other studios.
According to Deadline, A24 acted fast to snatch up Shanks’ next film, Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel, after ‘Together‘ starring Alison Brie and Dave Franco received rave reviews during the Sundance Film Festival and performed strongly at the box office.
Shanks wrote the script for the film, and it also appeared on the 2021 Black List, which is a modern survey of unproduced screenplays.
Hotel Hotel Hotel Hotel is said to be a sci-fi thriller, and according to Shanks’ website, it follows a “man wakes up trapped in a mysterious hotel room. All alone in a mind-bending prison, his only chance for escape is teamwork: with himself…”
The upcoming film will be produced by Mike Cowap of Princess Pictures and Adam McKay and Todd Schulman of HyperObject Industries.
Shanks has begun the casting process for the film.
