Netflix has just revealed the release date for the final episodes of the universally beloved comedy series Grace and Frankie. Grace and Frankie’s last season was split into two parts, with Part 1 consisting of four episodes dropping on the streaming giant last August and the remaining Part 2 consisting of twelve episodes coming to Netflix in the next month.
Grace and Frankie’s cast includes Oscar winner Jane Fonda as Grace and Emmy winner Lily Tomlin as Frankie. The two women live together after both of their husbands decide to file for divorce because they fall in love with one another. Throughout its seven-season run the series sees both of the women going through a painful and complicated breakup, life’s hardships, getting back up, and trying to live a normal life. Because of all the things they went through together Grace and Frankie develop a deeply emotional connection with each other and now after seven years this journey is coming to an end.
Check out the official synopsis for Grace and Frankie below:
Seven years ago, Grace and Frankie’s lives turned upside down when their longtime husbands left them for… each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie formed an unlikely and unbreakable bond as they faced uncertain futures head-on, and hand-in-hand. They’ve laughed together, cried together, did shrooms together, and twice-over became successful entrepreneurs together. A history-making 94 episodes later, Grace and Frankie continue to show themselves, their families, and their fans what it means to live life to the fullest, fearlessly and unapologetically. Here’s to seven seasons of laughs, tears, mood-enhancers, and good vibes. And, as Grace and Frankie would say, fuck it. This may be their final chapter, but they’re just getting started.
Grace and Frankie’s cast also includes Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, June Diane Raphael, Brooklyn Decker, Baron Vaughn, Ethan Embry, and Peter Gallagher. Skydance Television produces the series and Howard J. Morrison and Marta Kauffman will be returning as the showrunners and executive producers for the final season. Paul Weinstein, Robbie Tollin, Hannah KS Canter, Marcy Ross, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bill Bost, Fonda, and Tomlin will also be returning as executive producers.
Grace and Frankie Season 7 (Part 2) is all set to hit Netflix on April 29. Check out the new poster by Netflix below:
