Fox has just decided to not go ahead with its police procedural series Alert: Missing Persons Unit and crime drama series The Cleaning Lady. The network announced this Friday that The Cleaning Lady’s recent Season 4 finale will be its last episode and it’s a similar case for Alert: Missing Persons Unit.
Based on the Argentine TV series titled La Chica que Limpia, the crime drama series was adapted for Fox by Miranda Kwok. It follows Thony De La Rosa, a brilliant Cambodian doctor who has to come to the United States to get her sick son treated but things don’t go to plan forcing her to go into hiding and start working as a cleaning lady for an organized criminal gang.
The Cleaning Lady Season 4 aired its finale episode on June 3, which has sadly now become its final episode. It stars Élodie Yung, Adan Canto, Oliver Hudson, Martha Millan, Sebastien LaSalle, Valentino LaSalle, Sean Lew, Faith Bryant, Eva De Dominici, Naveen Andrews, and Kate del Castillo.
Alert: Missing Persons Unit is a police procedural crime drama series created by John Eisendrath and Jamie Foxx. The Fox series follows Jason Grant and Nikki Batista, an ex-couple now working together for the Philadelphia Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit to find missing people but most importantly still hoping against hope that they find their missing son.
Fox canceled Alert: Missing Persons Unit after it aired its Season 3 finale on May 27, 2025. It stars Scott Caan, Dania Ramirez, Ryan Broussard, Adeola Role, Graham Verchere, and Alisha-Marie Ahamed.
While Fox has decided to cancel The Cleaning Lady and Alert: Missing Persons Unit, they are continuing their relationships with their producers Warner Bros. and Sony to produce shows like Memory of a Killer and the upcoming seasons of Doc.
