As if being the 5th highest-grossing film of 2025 wasn’t enough, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has also been nominated for the 2025 Astra Film Awards by Hollywood Creative Alliance (formerly known as Hollywood Critics Association). Other nominated features include KPop Demon Hunters, Arco, In Your Dreams, Zootopia 2, and others.
The winners of the award will be announced on December 11, and the ceremony will be held on January 9, 2026. The HCA comprises critics, journalists, actors, producers, podcasters, publicists, writers, and “other creatives across the entertainment landscape.”
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns is the first entry into the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle trilogy, with the second installment being expected in 2027 or 2028.
Earlier this year, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle became the No. 1 film on the box office with its $70.6 million opening weekend in the U.S., which used to seem impossible for an anime film.
The first film in the Infinity Castle trilogy also became the biggest anime film ever, with its worldwide box office earnings of $730 million on a budget of $20 million.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle will be theatrically exclusive for the rest of 2025, but it is supposed to drop on streaming sometime in 2026.
