This August, Prime Video is bringing you a lot of entertainment with the highly anticipated Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, an all-new action-comedy film starring John Cena and Awkwafina titled Jackpot!, and an animated Batman series titled Batman: Caped Crusader. However, for the purposes of this article, we are only including the films that are coming to Prime Video this month and have a 90% or higher Rotten Tomatoes score. Fargo (August 1)

Fargo is a dark comedy crime drama film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. The 1996 film follows the story of Jerry, a sales manager who is under a huge debt. To repay his loan he hatches a plan to hire two henchmen to kidnap his wife and then demand ransom from rich father-in-law. But the plans go awry and now he must save himself from the authorities. Fargo stars William H. Macy, Frances McDormand, Steve Buscemi, Peter Stormare, Kristin Rudrud, John Carroll Lynch, Melissa Peterman, and Tony Denman.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (August 1)

Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a sci-fi horror film directed by Don Siegel from a screenplay by Daniel Mainwaring. Based on the 1954 novel titled The Body Snatchers by author Jack Finney, the 1956 film follows the story of Dr. Miles Bennell as he discovers that aliens have been replacing his fellow citizens with emotionless aliens. Invasion of the Body Snatchers stars Kevin McCarthy in the lead role with Dana Wynter, Carolyn Jones, King Donovan, Larry Gates, and Jean Willes starring in supporting roles.

Looper (August 1)

Looper is a sci-fi action thriller film written and directed by Rian Johnson. The 2012 film follows the story of Joe, a hitman working for organized crime as he kills people who were sent back in time by his bosses. Things take a turn for the worse when his future self is sent back in time to be assassinated. When her sister and lover try to find they end up at the infamous Bates Motel where they meet Norman Bates. Psycho stars Anthony Perkins, Janet Leigh, Vera Miles, John Gavin, Pat Hitchcock, Martin Balsam, John McIntire, Simon Oakland, and Mort Mills.

Pulp Fiction (August 1)

Pulp Fiction is a darkly comedic crime thriller film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The 1994 film follows different stories of two Los Angeles mobsters, a gangster’s wife, a boxer, and two small-time criminals as they intertwine in some of the most entertaining and bloody ways. The Day of the Jackal (August 1)

The Day of the Jackal is a political thriller drama film directed by Fred Zinnemann from a screenplay by Kenneth Ross. Based on the 1971 novel of the same name by author Frederick Forsyth, the 1973 film is set in 1960s France and it follows the story of a hitman who has taken the job of killing President Charles de Gaulle, but the French police are after him.
