King Kong is an epic adventure monster film directed by Peter Jackson, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens. Based on the 1933 film of the same name, the 2005 film is set in the 1930s and it follows a filmmaker and his crew as he coerces them into travelling to the mysterious Skull Island to shoot a film, but when they get there, they come across the giant gorilla known only as King Kong. Titanic is an epic romantic disaster film written and directed by James Cameron. The 1997 film is set on the unsinkable Titanic, and it follows Rose, a young woman being pressured to marry a wealthy man, but she soon meets and falls in love with Jack, a talented but poor artist.
