This October, Paramount+ is a little light on original content as most of the new content premiering this month are new seasons of CBS shows like Ghosts and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage and also the premiere of Season 4 of Taylor Sheridan‘s Mayor of Kingstown. However, for the purposes of this article, we are only including the films that are coming to Paramount+ next month and have a 90% or higher Rotten Tomatoes score. District 9 (October 1) RT Score: 90%

District 9 is a sci-fi action film directed by Neill Blomkamp, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Terri Tatchell. Based on Blomkamp’s 2005 short film titled Alive in Joburg, the 2009 film is set in the slums of Johannesburg, and it follows a government agent tasked with relocating aliens, but soon finds himself the target of a nationwide manhunt. District 9 stars Sharlto Copley, Jason Cope, David James, Vanessa Haywood, Mandla Gaduka, Kenneth Nkosi, and Louis Minnaar.

Green Room is a horror thriller film written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier. The 2015 film revolves around the members of a punk band who find themselves fighting for their survival against a group of neo-Nazis after witnessing a murder at a remote club.
