Hulu is bringing a lot of original and licensed content for its subscribers this May. From the streaming release of Sam Raimi‘s hit survival thriller, Send Help to the return of the period comedy-drama series, Rivals. The Departed is a crime thriller film directed by Martin Scorsese from a screenplay by William Monahan. Based on Alan Mak and Felix Chong’s 2002 Hong Kong film Infernal Affairs, the 2006 film is set in Boston and it revolves around a crooked FBI agent and an undercover agent as they find themselves in a cat-and-mouse chase to discover each other’s real identity. The Departed stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga, and Alec Baldwin.

Joy Ride is a comedy film directed by Adele Lim from a screenplay co-written by Cherry Chevapravatdumrong and Teresa Hsiao. The 2023 film follows Audrey, a young Asian woman who was adopted by white parents. During a business trip to Asia, Audrey decides to enlist the help of her best friend, a college friend, and an eccentric cousin to find her biological parents. Love and Monsters is a post-apocalyptic monster adventure film directed by Michael Matthews from a screenplay co-written by Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson. The 2020 film is set seven years after the Monsterpocalypse and it follows Joel, a meek survivor who decides to leave the safety of his bunker to travel a dangerous path to get his ex-girlfriend back. Sicario is an action crime thriller film directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay by Taylor Sheridan. The 2015 film follows FBI Special Agent Kate Mercer as she is recruited into a special government joint task force to bring down a Mexican drug cartel but she soon begins to question the methods used by her colleagues. Sicario stars Emily Blunt, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, and Victor Garber.

Spy is a spy action comedy film written and directed by Paul Feig. The 2015 film follows Susan Cooper, a desk-bound CIA employee as she is tasked with going into the field to stop a global catastrophe by infiltrating an arms deal.
