The Amazing Spider-Man (March 1)
The Amazing Spider-Man is a superhero action film directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay co-written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent, and Steve Kloves. Based on Marvel Comics characters of the same name, the 2012 film follows Peter Parker, a high school boy who gets bitten by a radioactive spider and acquires superpowers. He soon begins to use those powers to protect the people of New York City from criminals. The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (March 1)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a superhero action film directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay co-written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Jeff Pinkner. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the 2014 sequel film follows Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, as a new villain terrifies New York City and an old friend returns into his life. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, and Paul Giamatti.
Franklin & Bash Seasons 1-4 (March 1)
Franklin & Bash is a legal comedy-drama series co-created by Kevin Falls and Bill Chais. The TNT series follows Jared Franklin and Peter Bash, two lifelong friends and lawyers, as they are recruited into a prestigious law firm and struggle to fit in. Franklin & Bash stars Breckin Meyer, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dana Davis, Kumail Nanjiani, Malcolm McDowell, Reed Diamond, and Garcelle Beauvais.
5 Centimeters Per Second (March 2)
5 Centimetres Per Second is a Japanese coming-of-age romantic drama film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. The 2007 film follows Takaki, who befriends Akari in elementary school and, over the years, they become best friends, but their relationship is tested when Akari moves to another city. The voice cast of 5 Centimetres Per Second includes Kenji Mizuhashi, Yoshimi Kondō, and Satomi Hanamura.
The Covenant (March 5)
The Covenant is an action drama film directed by Guy Ritchie, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. The 2023 film follows U.S. Army Green Beret Master Sergeant John Kinley as he is sent back home after surviving a Taliban ambush, but he must go back to rescue his Afghan interpreter, Ahmed. The Covenant stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Dar Salim, Jason Wong, Antony Starr, Alexander Ludwig, Sean Sagar, and Bobby Schofield.
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret (March 11)
Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Kelly Fremon Craig. Based on Judy Blume’s 1970 novel of the same name, the 2023 film is set in the 1970s, and it follows Margaret, an 11-year-old girl who moves from the city to the suburbs with her family and struggles to adjust to her new surroundings. Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret stars Rachel McAdams, Abby Ryder Fortson, Elle Graham, Benny Safdie, and Kathy Bates.
The Talented Mr. Ripley (March 13)
The Talented Mr. Ripley is a psychological thriller film written and directed by Anthony Minghella. Based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 novel of the same name, the 1999 film follows Tom Ripley, a con artist from New York who’s hired by an industrialist to bring back his spoiled son from Italy. Ripley soon becomes addicted to the rich lifestyle of the industrialist’s son and tries to take it for himself. The Talented Mr. Ripley stars Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Cate Blanchett, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jack Davenport, James Rebhorn, Sergio Rubini, and Philip Baker Hall.
Arrested Development Seasons 1-6 (March 15)
Arrested Development is a cringe comedy series created by Mitchell Hurwitz. The Fox series revolves around the extremely dysfunctional Bluth family, which lost everything after the patriarch was convicted of fraud. Now it’s up to the only sane member of the family, Michael Bluth, to save himself from them. Arrested Development stars Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter.
The Wild Robot (March 26)
The Wild Robot is an animated sci-fi comedy-drama film written and directed by Chris Sanders. Based on Peter Brown’s 2016 novel of the same name, the 2024 film follows a service robot that finds itself on a remote island but struggles to adapt to its new surroundings. The robot soon becomes an adoptive mother for an orphaned goose and also builds relationships with the local wildlife. The Wild Robot’s voice cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames, Mark Hamill, and Catherine O’Hara.
The Passion of the Christ (March 28)
The Passion of the Christ is an epic biblical drama film directed by Mel Gibson and co-written by Gibson and Benedict Fitzgerald. Based on the Canonical Gospels, the 2004 film follows Jesus Christ as he is betrayed by one of his human disciples, leading him to be put on trial and later crucified to death. The Passion of the Christ stars Jim Caviezel, Monica Bellucci, Maia Morgenstern, and Sergio Rubini.
The Hurt Locker (March 31)
The Hurt Locker is a war drama film directed by Kathryn Bigelow from a screenplay by Mark Boal. The 2008 film revolves around a U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team during the second year of the Iraq War, as they are constantly targeted by the insurgents, and the mental stress takes its toll on them. The Hurt Locker stars Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty, Evangeline Lily, Ralph Fiennes, David Morse, and Guy Pearce.
