If you were waiting for Jessica Chastain‘s upcoming thriller drama series The Savant, then you will have to wait a little longer, as Apple TV+ has decided to pull the series from its scheduled September 26 release date in light of Charlie Kirk’s murder.
Based on an article titled “Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?” by Andrea Stanley, the crime thriller drama series follows Jodi Goodwin, aka The Savant, who infiltrates online hate groups to predict and prevent mass shootings before they happen.
The Savant also stars Nnamdi Asomugha, Pablo Schreiber, James Badge Dale, Cole Doman, Michael Mosley, Dagmara Domińczyk, Jordana Spiro, and Toussaint Francois Battiste.
Chastain reacted to Apple TV+’s decision to delay the series and said that even though she “respects Apple TV’s decision to pause the release of the show,” she still disagrees with it as “The Savant is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens,” and that “honoring their courage feels more urgent now than ever.“
As of now, no new release date for ‘The Savant’ has been announced, but Chastain “remains hopeful that the show will reach audiences soon.”
