‘Anyone But You’ – Release Date, Cast, Plot & What We Know So Far

Updated On: November 17, 2023: Anyone But You has quickly become one of the most anticipated romantic comedy films of the year. The film was first announced in January 2023 with the leading duo of Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick). Anyone But You is dubbed as the modern adaptation of William Shakespeare‘s Much Ado About Nothing, the film is an R-rated rom-com written and directed by Will Gluck (Easy A).

It was announced at CinemaCon 2023, where Sweeney and Powell teased their upcoming project. Followed by production images shared by the actors on their social media, Anyone But You became a promise of the sizzling rom-com everyone loves. With a December release, fans have been waiting to see the chemistry between our leading duo on the big screen.

After its announcement in January 2023, Anyone But You began production in February and the filming of the film took place in various locations in Australia. The production of the film wrapped up in April.

While originally the film was slated to release on December 15, 2023, later it was pushed back a week with the new release date of December 22, 2023. Anyone But You will be competing with Illumination’s animated film Migration and Sean Durkin‘s wrestling drama The Iron Claw.
