While Sony’s attempt at a live-action Spider-Man universe was a miserable failure, they have been quite successful with the animated Spider-Verse film. From the genius mind of Phil Lord, the first two Spider-Verse films are two of the best superhero films ever made.

Revolving around Miles Morales’ Spider-Man, the first animated Spider-Man film titled Into the Spider-Verse came out in 2018, and it made a whopping $394 million on a budget of $90 million. Its sequel came out in 2023, and it was titled Across the Spider-Verse, and it made over $690 million on a budget of $100-$150 million. The last film in the Spider-Verse trilogy is set to release in June 2027 and is titled Across the Spider-Verse.

How did the Live Action ‘Venom’ Trilogy Fared at the Box Office?

The first live-action Venom film was directed by Ruben Fleischer and grossed over $856 million on a budget of $100- $116 million. Its sequel, titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was released in 2021 and directed by Andy Serkis. It was also made on a budget similar to the first film, but unlike the 2018 film, it only made over $506 million.

The last film in the Venom trilogy, titled Venom: The Last Dance, came out in 2024. It was written and directed by Kelly Marcel, and it was the least profitable film in the trilogy, earning only $478.9 million.
