The new Fox workplace comedy starring Joel McHale has been renewed by the network. The renewal was announced on Wednesday. Season 1 of Animal Control recently concluded its first season, and while there was no big cliffhanger it was clear that these character’s journey wasn’t over as of yet, and now fortunately its not going to be stopped.
Fox Entertainment president of scripted programming Michael Thorn said in a statement about the renewal of the series:
“We are thrilled our viewers have responded to ‘Animal Control’ as much as we did. The incredibly talented ensemble cast, led by Joel McHale, along with our creative team, Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg, Dan Sterling and Tad Quill – not to mention a menagerie of wild animal method actors — have delivered a hilarious series that is sharp, witty, and warm, week after week.”
Animal Control follows the day-to-day lives of animal control workers, and the story shows us that animals are simple whereas humans are really not. Leading the ensemble is Frank (McHale), an opinionated and emotionally closed-off former cop.
