Primate (August 1)
Primate is a natural horror film directed by Johannes Roberts, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera. The 2025 film follows Lucy, a teenage girl on a tropical vacation with her friends, as their relaxing holiday turns deadly when their family pet chimpanzee contracts rabies and becomes violent. Primate stars Johnny Sequoyah, Jessica Alexander, Troy Kotsur, Victoria Wyant, and Gia Hunter.
Sterling Point Season 1 (August 5)
Sterling Point is an upcoming drama series created by Megan Park. The Prime Video series follows Anne Jacobson, a teenage girl from New York City who inherits her mysterious grandfather’s island in Canada. She decides to go there and discovers hidden family secrets and experiences love and friendships. Sterling Point stars Ella Rubin, Amélie Hoeferle, Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie, Keen Ruffalo, Bo Bragason, and Daniel Quinn-Toye.
The Gates (August 7)
The Gates is a thriller film written and directed by John Burr. The 2026 film revolves around three friends driving through a gated community as they witness a murder and are trapped and hunted by the resident who later try to frame them for the murder. The Gates stars Mason Gooding, Algee Smith, Keith Powers, and James Van Der Beek.
Reacher Season 4 (August 12)
Reacher is an action crime thriller drama series developed by Nick Santora. Based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels, the upcoming fourth season of the Prime Video series sees Reacher getting involved in a deadly conspiracy after witnessing a woman committing suicide on the subway. Reacher stars Alan Ritchson, Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, and Kevin Corrigan.
Is God Is (August 19)
The upcoming Southern Gothic revenge dark comedy thriller film written and directed by Aleshea Harris. Based on Harris’ 2018 play of the same name, the 2026 film follows twin sisters Racine and Anaia as they set out to get revenge against their father for disfiguring them during childhood. Is God Is stars Kara Young, Mallori Johnson, Janelle Monae, Erika Alexander, Mykelti Williamson, Josiah Cross, Vivica A. Fox, and Sterling K. Brown.
Good Fortune (August 21)
Good Fortune is a comedy film written and directed by Aziz Ansari. The 2025 film follows Gabriel, an angel who tries to show Arj, a down-on-his-luck man, that money won’t solve his problems by swapping Arj’s life with his wealthy employer, Jeff. Things don’t go Gabriel’s way as Arj seems to love his luxurious new life, and that results in Gabriel being stripped of his wings and having to live with Jeff in squalor. Good Fortune stars Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh.
The Last Sunrise (August 26)
The Last Sunrise is an upcoming romantic drama film directed by Carlson Young from a screenplay by Anna Klassen. Based on Anna Todd’s 2025 novel of the same name, the Prime Video film follows Oriah “Ry” Pera, a young American woman struggling with health issues as she moves to Majorca with her mother and soon begins falling for a charismatic young man. The Last Sunrise stars Maia Reficco, Fernando Lindez, Eva Longoria, and Andrés Velencoso.
