My Oxford Year (August 1)

My Oxford Year is an upcoming romantic comedy-drama film directed by Iain Morris from a screenplay co-written by Allison Burnett and Melissa Osborne. Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Julia Whelan, the Netflix film follows Anna De La Vega, an ambitious American student studying in Oxford, where she falls in love with a charming local. My Oxford Year stars Sofia Carson, Corey Mylchreest, Dougray Scott, and Catherine McCormack.
Beyond the Bar Season 1 (August 2)

Beyond the Bar is an upcoming South Korean legal comedy-drama series written by Park Mi-hyun. The JTBC series follows Hyo-min, a confident rookie lawyer who trains under her brilliant but cold senior, Seok-hoon, to get some experience. Beyond the Bar stars Lee Jin-wook, Jung Chae-yeon, Lee Hak-joo, and Jeon Hye-bin.
Love Life Seasons 1-2 (August 5)

Love Life is a romantic comedy anthology series created by Sam Boyd. The HBO Max series tells the story of a different person each season, from their first romantic entanglement to their one true love. Love Life stars Anna Kendrick, Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compère, William Jackson Harper, Jessica Williams, Comedian CP, and Punkie Johnson.
Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 (August 6)

Wednesday is a Gothic supernatural mystery comedy series co-created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Based on Charles Addams’ characters of the same name, the upcoming Season 2 of the Netflix series follows Wednesday Addams as she returns to Nevermore Academy and finds herself in another supernatural mystery involving a deadly monster. Kandahar (August 9)

Kandahar is a spy action thriller film directed by Ric Roman Waugh from a screenplay by Mitchell LaFortune. Loosely based on true events, the 2023 film follows Tom Harris, an undercover freelance operative working for the CIA, as he gets trapped with his translator in hostile territory in Afghanistan after his cover is blown. Kandahar stars Gerard Butler, Navid Negahban, Ali Fazal, Bahador Foladi, Nina Toussaint-White, Vassilis Koukalani, Mark Arnold, and Corey Johnson.
Outlander Season 7 (August 11)

Outlander is a historical romantic fantasy adventure drama series created by Ronald D. Moore. Based on the book series of the same name by author Diana Gabaldon, Season 7 of the Starz series follows the epic love story of Claire and Jamie as the American Revolution begins in the background, complicating their lives. Outlander stars Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, and Sophie Skelton.
Sullivan’s Crossing Season 3 (August 11)

Sullivan’s Crossing is a Canadian romantic drama series created by Roma Roth. Based on Robyn Carr’s novels of the same name, The CW series continues the story of neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan as she tries to rebuild her life in her hometown. Sullivan’s Crossing stars Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard, and Scott Patterson.
Fixed (August 13)

Fixed is an upcoming adult animated adventure comedy film directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Vitti. The Netflix series follows a dog who goes out for a night of partying with his friend before he gets neutered. Fixed’s voice cast includes Adam DeVine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Beck Bennett, and Bobby Moynihan.
Miss Governor Season 1 Part 2 (August 14)

Miss Governor is a political sitcom series co-created by Tyler Perry and Niya Palmer. The upcoming Part 2 of the Netflix series follows the story of Lieutenant Governor candidate Antoinette Dunkerson as she tries to continue her important work while dealing with the sexist governor. Night Always Comes (August 15)

Night Always Comes is an upcoming crime thriller drama film directed by Benjamin Caron from a screenplay by Sarah Conradt. Based on the 2021 novel of the same name by author Willy Vlautin, the Netflix film follows Lynette, a desperate woman, as she tries to raise money to pay her debt, all while trying to stop her brother from being taken away. Fast & Furious Films 1-7 (August 16)

Fast & Furious is an action-adventure film franchise created by Gary Scott Thompson. The multi-billion-dollar film franchise follows the adventures of Dominic Toretto and his family as they go from robbing delivery trucks to fighting against terrorists, all while staying connected to their street racing roots. Fisk Season 3 (August 20)

Fisk is an Australian legal comedy-drama series co-created by Kitty Flanagan and Vincent Sheehan.
