‘The Night Manager’ Season 2 is Finally in the Works!

According to Deadline, the second season of the hit Tom Hiddleston spy thriller series The Night Manager is finally in the works. Based on John le Carré brilliant works the series will be a joint production of BBC and Amazon Prime Video. Hiddleston will be returning as the titular hero Jonathan Pine.

While no official confirmation on the series’ upcoming seasons has been made yet, Deadline reports that Season 2 is set to film later this year in London and South America. Deadline also reports that The Night Manager will receive a two-season order.

Fans have been waiting for Season 2 since the series concluded its first season in 2016, the second season of the series will be set in the present times. The Night Manager Season 1 ended with the arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie) being taken away by the Syrians, and in the books, Pine is informed two years later that Roper is dead but now he has to face an even more deadly opponent.

The Night Manager Season 1 was one of the most popular UK dramas of that year and it aired on AMC in the U.S., which led to le Carré another adaptation The Little Drummer Girl starring Florence Pugh and was showrun by le Carré’s sons Simon and Stephen Cornwell.

The Indian adaptation of The Night Manager is currently airing on Disney+ Hotstar starring Aditya Roy Kapur as Pine and Anil Kapoor as Roper.
