The Rookie is definitely one of the most fun and thrilling procedural series of recent times. The ABC stars the always wonderful Nathan Fillion in the lead role of John Nolan, a middle-aged small-town man who decides to become the oldest rookie in the LAPD after a life-altering incident. The Rookie recently concluded its fifth season and has been renewed for a sixth season. So, while you wait for new episodes to come out here are some shows you could watch until then.
The Rookie: Feds (Hulu & Fubo TV)

Synopsis: From the executive producers of flagship series “The Rookie” comes “The Rookie: Feds” starring Niecy Nash-Betts as Simone Clark, the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy. The spinoff was introduced as a two-part event during the current fourth season of “The Rookie,” where Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and the LA division of the FBI enlist the help of Simone Clark when one of her former students is a suspect in a terror attack.

Synopsis: From Emmy Award-winner Dick Wolf and the team behind the Law & Order franchise comes a fast-paced drama about the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. L.A.’s Finest (Tubi)

Synopsis: From the universe of the Jerry Bruckheimer Bad Boys franchise, LAPD detectives Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union) and Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba) are back. As Syd mourns the sudden loss of a friend and struggles to find answers, McKenna must deal with the aftermath of Izzy’s kidnapping and the rift it has left in her marriage. But when a powerful crime surge in Koreatown threatens to destroy the community, Syd, McKenna and the LAPD team must find those responsible before it’s too late. Blue Bloods (Hulu & Pluto TV)

Synopsis: Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York Police Commissioner and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood.
S.W.A.T. (Hulu & Paramount+)

Synopsis: Follows a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant who is torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he’s tasked to run a highly-trained unit that’s the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles.
Southland (Tubi)

Synopsis: From the beaches of Malibu to the streets of East L.A., this fast-moving drama takes viewers inside the lives of cops, criminals, victims and their families. John Cooper (Band of Brothers’ Michael Cudlitz) is a seasoned Los Angeles cop assigned to train young rookie Ben Sherman (The O.C.’s Ben McKenzie).
