Twilight Zone: The Movie (October 1)
Twilight Zone: The Movie is a sci-fi fantasy horror anthology film co-directed by John Landis, Steven Spielberg, Joe Dante, and George Miller. Based on the classic Rod Sterling’s TV series of the same name, the 1983 film consists of four horror and sci-fi segments that try to explore unconventional stories based in the Twilight Zone world. The film stars Dan Aykroyd, Albert Brooks, Vic Morrow, Doug McGrath, and Charles Hallahan.
Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (October 1)
Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum is a South Korean found-footage supernatural horror film directed by Jung Bum-shik, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Park Sang-min. The 2018 film revolves around the crew members of a horror web series as they go into an abandoned asylum for a live broadcast, but things turn deadly when they encounter something sinister. Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum stars Wi Ha-joon, Park Ji-hyun, Oh Ah-yeon, Moon Ye-won, Park Sung-hoon, and Yoo Je-yoon.
The Endless (October 1)
The Endless is a sci-fi horror thriller film co-directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead from a screenplay by Benson. The 2017 film follows brothers Justin and Aaron, who escaped from a UFO death cult years ago. When they receive a mysterious videotape, it leads them back to the cult, where they begin to experience strange phenomena. The Endless stars Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Callie Hernandez, Tate Ellington, Lew Temple, and James Jordan.
The Descent (October 1)
The Descent is a British horror film written and directed by Neil Marshall. The 2005 film revolves around six friends as they set out on an expedition to explore uncharted caves. During the exploration, they get trapped in the caves, and things turn deadly when they become the target of nightmarish monsters. The Descent stars Shauna Macdonald, Natalie Mendoza, Alex Reid, Saskia Mulder, Nora-Jane Noone, and MyAnna Buring.
Lake Mungo (October 1)
Lake Mungo is an Australian psychological horror film written and directed by Joel Anderson. The 2008 film revolves around the grieving Palmer family as they try to contend with the loss of their daughter, who drowned. Soon after her death, the family begins experiencing supernatural phenomena and decides to hire a parapsychologist who looks into Alice’s death. Lake Mungo stars Talia Zucker, David Pledger, Rosie Traynor, Martin Sharpe, and Steve Jodrell.
Insidious (October 1)
Insidious is a supernatural horror film directed by James Wan from a screenplay by Leigh Whannell. The 2010 film revolves around the Lambert family as they move to a new house looking for a fresh start. Their lives are thrown into chaos after the Lambert family’s son mysteriously falls into a coma, and they begin experiencing paranormal incidents. Insidious stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey, and Ty Simpkins.
Infirmary (October 2)
Infirmary is a found-footage horror film directed by Nicholas Pineda, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Katy Krauland. The 202 film revolves around a group of investigators looking into the disappearance of a psych hospital guard. They soon discover the guard’s bodycam footage, which shows horrifying and unexplainable incidents. Infirmary stars Paul Syre Lee, Mark Anthony Williams, Danielle Kennedy, and Corinna Wagner-Smith.
Harbinger (October 5)
Harbinger is a horror thriller film directed by James Crow from a screenplay co-written by Harry Boxley and Simon Cluett. The 2026 film follows Julia, a TV show host and sole survivor of a serial killer. Julie is lured back into the house she was held in for her TV show, but things turn deadly when a fortune-telling machine begins revealing each one of the crew’s brutal fates. Harbinger stars Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott, Peter Woodward, Nick Nevern, and Carole Ann Ford.
V/H/S/Mixtape (October 9)
V/H/S/Mixtape is a splatter horror film co-directed by Ernest Dickerson, Flying Lotus, and Tobias Forge from a screenplay co-written by Zoe Cooper, Dickerson, and Matt Landsman. The upcoming film is the ninth installment in the found-footage horror anthology franchise, exploring cursed music videos featuring terrifying performances. V/H/S/Mixtape stars Jihad Brent, Barbara Crampton, and Mike Ferguson.
Hallowarrior (October 16)
Hallowarrior is a post-apocalyptic horror film written and directed by Ben Sottak. The 2026 film is set in a post-apocalyptic world, and it follows the last surviving girl on Earth, who just wants companions on Halloween night, but things turn deadly when vicious scavengers turn up and try to kill her. The Cycle (October 23)
The Cycle is an upcoming horror thriller film directed by Jordan Downey, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Stewart. The 2026 film follows a woman whose life turns upside down as her long-missing father’s dead body suddenly turns up at a gruesome crime scene. The Cycle stars Deborah Ann Woll, Jeffrey Donovan, Gretchen Corbett, Will Hochman, and Phillip Andre Botello.
Big Baby (October 30)
Big Baby is a slasher horror film written and directed by Spider One. The 2026 film follows Adam, a successful horror screenwriter struggling with writer’s block, but things change when he has a terrifying nightmare about a masked killer. As he further explores the story of the masked killer, the fictional character begins to manifest in real life. Big Baby stars Brandon Scott, Krsy Fox, Torio Van Grol, Adam Marcinowski, and Kate Freund.
Hunting Matthew Nichols (October 31)
Hunting Matthew Nichols is a Canadian supernatural horror film directed by Markian Tarasiuk, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sean Harris Oliver. The 2026 film follows Tara Nichols, a young woman, as she decides to investigate the two-decade-old disappearance of her older brother, Matthew. She soon finds a disturbing piece of evidence that points to him still being alive. Hunting Matthew Nichols stars Miranda McDougall, Markian Tarasiuk, Ryan Alexander McDonald, and Christine Willes.
