Netflix’s Wednesday Adds 10 More Actors to its Cast

Tim Burton‘s upcoming series on Netflix Wednesday, which is inspired by The Addams Family has added 10 more actors to its cast. Wednesday is described as a modern-day spin on the Addams Family which will focus on the Goth teen Wednesday Addams played by Jenna Ortega. The series is described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

The ten new actors will join the cast of the series alongside previously announced Academy ward winning actor Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán who will also guest star as Wednesday’s parents Morticia and Gomez.

The new cast joining the series is:

Riki Lindhome will be playing the role of Dr. Valerie Kinbott, she has previously appeared in the film Knives Out. Her character is “a local therapist in the sleepy town of Jericho who takes a particular interest in her newest patient Wednesday Addams.”

Hunter Doohan will play Tyler Galpin, he has previously appeared in the Showtime series, Your Honor. His character is described as “a townie who strikes up an unlikely friendship with Wednesday Addams. Tyler has a troubled relationship with his father, the local sheriff.”

Thora Birch will play Tamara Novak who is known for her role in The Walking Dead, and her character is “Wednesday’s dorm mother and the only ‘Normie’ on staff at Nevermore Academy with a focus on all things botanical.”

Jamie McShane will play Sheriff Donovan Galpin, he previously appeared in David Fincher’s film Mank and his character was “born and bred in Jericho, this Sheriff has always had an issue with Nevermore Academy and a vendetta against former student Gomez Addams.”

Georgie Farmer will play Ajax Petropolus, he previously appeared in USA Network’s series Treadstone and his character is “a student at Nevermore Academy who also happens to be a Gorgon. Awkward and shy, Ajax is anxious about looking anyone in the eye.”

Emma Myers will play Enid Sinclair who previously appeared in Girl in the Basement and her character “is Wednesday’s sunny and colorful Californian roommate at Nevermore Academy. Enid hails from a pack of San Francisco Werewolves.”

Naomi J. Ogawa will play Yoko Tanaka, she previously appeared in Skylin3s, and her character is “a vampire with Harajuku-inspired Goth flair and one of the cool kids at Nevermore Academy.”

Moosa Mostafa will be playing the role of Eugene Otinger and he previously appeared in Nativity Rocks!, and his character is “one of Nevermore Academy’s quirkiest students and president of the school’s bee-keeping club.”

Percy Hynes White will be Xavier Thorpe, he previously appeared in The Gifted and he will be “a charismatic and supernaturally artistic Nevermore Academy student, who comes from wealth thanks to his celebrity psychic father.”

Joy Sunday will be playing the role of Bianca Barclay, she previously appeared in Netflix’s Dear White People, and her character is “one of Nevermore Academy’s most popular students, Bianca descends from a long line of Sirens with a mesmerizing power to persuade.”

The upcoming series will be directed by Burton, and it will have eight episodes. Al Gough and Miles Millar will be the showrunner on the series.
