A Simple Favor is a mystery crime thriller and dark comedy-drama film directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay by Jessica Sharzer. Based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Darcey Bell, the 2018 film is set in a small town, and it follows Stephanie Smothers, a widowed single mother who runs a vlog for mothers.
