Mike Flanagan‘s horror series Midnight Mass, is full of his signature takes on horror. Midnight Mass may not be Flanagan’s best work, but it is undoubtedly up there. The Netflix series has all of the makings of a great horror series like a great story with layered and relatable characters with bizarre twists (that almost never disappoint). It also explores a bunch of themes like religion, death, and guilt. Midnight Mass is set in a quaint town named Crockett Island, and in there lives a tight-knit Roman Catholic community with a lot of faith in their hearts, but after the arrival of a mysterious priest named Father Paul, bizarre things start to happen.
