Lucky Hank is definitely the best new comedy series of recent times. The brilliant AMC series starring the Better Call Saul actor Bob Odenkirk in the lead role of William Henry Devereaux, Jr. Based on Straight Man by Richard Russo, Lucky Hank follows the hilarious midlife crisis of the English Department Chair of the badly underfunded Railton College. Lucky Hank also stars Mireille Enos, Olivia Scott Welch, Suzanne Cryer, Cedric Yarbrough, and Diedrich Bader. So, if you like the series and are hoping for Season 2, here are some shows you could watch until AMC green lights the second season.
HAPPYish (Paramount+ & Showtime)

Synopsis: Thom Payne is a 44 year-old man whose world is thrown into disarray when his 25 year-old “wunderkind” boss arrives, saying things like “digital”, “social” and “viral.” Is he in need of a “rebranding”, or does he just have a “low joy ceiling”? Maybe pursuing happiness is a fool’s errand? Maybe, after 44 years on this ludicrous planet, settling for happyish is the best one can expect.
