Paramount+ is nothing if not a goldmine of content, with basically something to watch for everyone, and today we are making a list of the best new shows and movies coming to Paramount+ in April 2023 that you can watch right now. The shows and movies in this list are ranked according to their availability dates.
Fight Club (April 1)
Synopsis: Sick of his dead end, white bread, corporate career and disgusted with the empty consumer culture of his generation, a confused young man serendipitously meets Tyler Durden. Together they create a new club where young men come to relieve their frustrations by beating each other to a pulp. Two rules govern the club: no more than two men per fight and no one is to mention fight club to any outsiders. Reverse-psychology proves it’s power, as the latter rule instantaneously spreads the news of fight club throughout the underworld sub-culture. Tyler Durden, the ringleader, quickly becomes a cult hero of epic proportions, a new messiah for a dead generation. Meanwhile, Jack manages to get involved in a twisted love triangle with Tyler and a girl named Marla, who is also at odds with reality.
Get Shorty (April 1)
Synopsis: Chili Palmer (John Travolta) is a Miami mobster who gets sent by his boss, the psychopathic “Bones” Barboni (Dennis Farina), to collect a bad debt from Harry Zimm (Gene Hackman), a Hollywood producer who specializes in cheesy horror films. When Chili meets Harry’s leading lady (Rene Russo), the romantic sparks fly. After pitching his own life story as a movie idea, Chili learns that being a mobster and being a Hollywood producer really aren’t all that different.
Lincoln (April 1)
Synopsis: Steven Spielberg directs two-time Academy Award® winner Daniel Day-Lewis in “Lincoln,” a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President’s tumultuous final months in office. Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (April 6)
Synopsis: Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is a musical series that takes place four years before the original “Grease.” In 1954, before rock ‘n’ roll ruled and before the T-Birds were the coolest in the school, four fed-up outcasts dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever. The series stars Marisa Davila as Jane, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia, and Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy.
Fatal Attraction (April 30)
Synopsis: Fatal Attraction is a deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ‘80s cultural touchstone. The new series will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control.
